The Friends of Little Miami State Park and the Warren County Engineer's Office provided some great news in late December. Just in time for the New Year, the Little Miami Scenic Trail has been reopened at Grandin Road! After a project of more than a year and a half, the Grandin Road/King Avenue bridge over the Little Miami River has been replaced with a new 2-span bridge, which includes a new bike/pedestrian path. Also included in the project is a new underpass/tunnel under Grandin Road for the LMST, eliminating an at-grade crossing for trail users. The image below, from the Warren County Engineer's Office shows the new underpass/tunnel during the construction phase.
Adjacent to the Peter's Cartidge Apartments and Brewery, this project and the new traffic roundabout will enhance safety and access to the Little Miami Scenic Trail. The project enlarges the parking lot at the trail access location, though work on that lot is still ongoing, according to FLMSP. This will be updated when that access lot is completed.
